You Are Invited
Every student in 6th - 12th grade should have an amazing youth group experience. Our mission is to point every young person to faith and trust in Jesus Christ. You are invited to be a part of the Student Ministry at Liberty Baptist Church on Sunday mornings, Wednesday evenings, and all of our special activities!
Sunday School
Students meet weekly for Sunday School at 8:30am and 10am on the second floor of the Ministry Center. This offers a time for fellowship with a light breakfast, prayer, and engaging Bible lessons taught by a team of teachers.
Wednesday Nights
Students meet each Wednesday from 6:30pm to 8pm. We begin with activities and social time in the gym of the Ministry Center. By 7pm, we move upstairs in the youth area for light refreshments. Announcements, praise reports, and prayer requests are shared. Then, we are led in a time of worship through music. Youth leaders and special guests provide a message from God’s Word relevant to issues that students face today.
Special Events
Special events are held multiple times throughout the year and are posted on our church calendar. Keep an eye on all of the fun listed on our church website!
We are excited to host the 5th Quarter youth event at Liberty Baptist Church! This will be something fun and safe for middle and high school students to do on a Friday night. On Friday, September 5 immediately following the first home football game for Appomattox County High School, all middle and high school students in the surrounding communities are invited to enjoy interactive inflatables, a 360-photo experience, snow cones, popcorn, s’mores, and prizes! Liberty Baptist is launching the Worship Arts Collective, meeting on Sundays at 5pm in the fellowship hall and choir room located next to the church office. This opportunity is for grades 6-12 led by Melissa Bailey, Melissa Small and friends— where music meets ministry, and fun meets faith! Whether you're a student new to singing or already love using your voice, this is the perfect place to grow. You'll learn basic music reading skills, discover how to sing in harmony, and build confidence in your musical talents — all while being part of a supportive, uplifting community. But it's more than just music. This choir will offer exciting ministry opportunities, worship leading and creative performances that will let students share God's love through song. And of course, it will be lots of fun with plenty of snacks, games, and friendship. Come sing with us, grow with us, and make memories with other youth!
