Compassion Ministry

Providing for various practical, physical needs for individuals within and outside of the church is the core of this ministry. Some of the jobs the Ministry of Compassion tackles include providing manpower for home repairs and maintenance and providing transportation for doctor appointments.

Family Care Ministry

The Family Care Ministry provides for the physical, emotional and spiritual needs of individuals and families, especially during major transitions, such as a birth or death in the family. The Family Care Ministry hosts a Back-to-School Supply Party each August, to provide school supplies for local public school children for whom this expense presents a financial hardship.

Hospital Visitation Ministry

Each week a team of two people visit church members who are in the hospital, with the goal of encouraging and praying for them before they leave their room. The hospital visitation ministry makes inquiries about how the church can help meet the needs of the family being visited.

Outreach Ministry

The Outreach visitation team contacts prospective and inactive members and shares the gospel message of salvation with the lost.

Recovery Ministry

The Recovery Ministry is able to provide both professional and pastoral counseling to those who are attempting to recover from drug or alcohol addiction. The Recovery Ministry also aids those who are going through a difficult season of their life.

Shut-in and Nursing Home Ministry

This ministry provides regular contact and assistance for church members who are in nursing homes or are home-bound and unable to attend services.

The Welcome Team

The Welcome Team greets members and visitors as they arrive at the church for Sunday School and Sunday morning worship, providing helpful information to direct newcomers and helping them find their way around.

Widow and Widower Ministry

The Widow and Widower Ministry seeks to meet the needs of the elderly widows and widows of the church by visiting and calling them regularly and by planning special events for them.

Benevolence Ministry

The Benevolence Ministry provides food and minor financial support for area residents experiencing unexpected financial hardships.
