Whether you are encouraging someone through a season of life or seeking wisdom from someone who has walked before you, we believe God uses these relationships to strengthen His church and help women grow in faith. Students are invited to show up for Jesus before school begins on Wednesday, September 23rd for See You at the Pole! Show up early to your school flagpole to pray for God to be glorified and for His protection and provision over our school, community, state, nation, and world. Your gathering could include student-led worship, Bible reading, prayer in large and small groups, and even a message by a student leader. Check with your school to confirm meeting times.

Special service in our Fellowship Hall of Worship. We invite you to join us as we pray for Hispanic and Latino missionaries, many of whom are serving among people groups who are hard to reach with the gospel.

Your family is invited to a special baptism in the creek! If you’ve admitted of your sins and trust Jesus Christ as Lord of your life, you can join others in this outward expression of your decision. There is more work ahead of us to change lives in Honduras! We invite you to be part of this powerful mission as we plan for 2027 projects. Together, we can come alongside local churches to build restrooms, protective block wall, fencing, front steps, baptistry mural, Bibles, and supplies for Vacation Bible School.

To make it all happen, we need to raise $50,000 for building supplies only— and every dollar counts. All of the labor will be donated by Liberty Baptist Church and partnering ministries. No gift is too small when God’s people come together for His mission.

WAC friends are invited to a get together for a fun night at the Baileys’ house on the evening of Sept 12th! WMU will have a yard sale on Saturday, September 12^th from 7:00 am to noon, with all proceeds going to Lottie Moon and Annie Armstrong offerings.  The set-up will start on Thursday, September 10^th at 1:00 pm, and take place all day on Friday, September 111^th starting at 9:00 am.  If you have items to donate, please bring them to the church on Friday.  For any items you may need picked up, please contact Linda Moon (434-665-6270) and she will arrange the pickup. On Saturday, August 29^th, the Woodlands will enjoy outdoor water activities including, but not limited to, water gun battles and a water balloon war.

Join us for Faith & Family Night with the Hill City Howlers on Friday, August 28th! First pitch is at 6:30 PM, and the evening will conclude with a special post-game worship experience led by Liberty University Worship Collective.

This event also serves as a fundraiser for our Student Ministry. Tickets are $8 each, and when you purchase through Liberty Baptist Church, $3 from every ticket sold goes directly toward helping lower the cost for our students to attend the Youth Evangelism Conference this upcoming January. Come celebrate NUEVA VISIÓN’s (Liberty Baptist Church's Hispanic Ministry) 7^th anniversary. Everyone is welcome to attend the service and brunch in the Fellowship Hall. As a Spanish Ministry, their desire is that every person follows Christ, shares Christ, and glorifies Christ. They are a church that grows, loves, serves, and transforms Appomattox and its surrounding communities; a church where everyone is an essential part of “the Great Commission.”

On Saturday, August 22^nd, the Navigators will take a day trip to the Museum of the Bible to explore history and exhibits.

As a service to our community, the mammography van is coming to LBC on Tuesday, August 21st from 7:30 am until 2:20 pm.  They will be performing screenings for eligible women ages 40 and over who have not had a mammogram in the last 12 months.  To sign up or if you have questions, please call the church office (434-352-2336). KidServe will start on Wednesday, August 19th, at 6:30 pm in the upstairs children’s area.  This is an opportunity for kids ages 4-years through 5th grade to use their gifts to serve our church and community.  This ministry will meet twice a month on the first and third Wednesday and will include games, music, crafts, a missions lesson, and a service project.

The Goodyears (ages 55+) are in the process of planning their meeting that will be held on August 19^th at noon in the church Fellowship Hall.  Please be sure to follow the church announcements for final details and sign-up information.

The Children's Nutrition Ministry will have a Kick-off Meeting on Tuesday, August 18^th at 7:00 pm in the Old Fellowship Hall. There are weekly volunteer needs throughout the school year, as well as a need for financial support.  If you are willing to volunteer, please plan to attend this meeting on August 18^th at 7:00 pm. Sunday Night Kids is BACK!! We kick off a brand-new year of ministry on Sunday night, August 16th, beginning at 5:00 pm with KidSing and KidSing Jr., followed by Awana at 6:00. Each Sunday night will be filled with exciting music, engaging Bible teaching, small group discipleship and Scripture memory, and high-energy games. KidSing and KidSing Jr. are open to kids ages 4-years through 5th grade, and Awana is open to kids ages 2-years through 12th grade. Awana registration can be done in advance, by visiting LibertyBC.TwoTimTwo.com. WAC is Back! 6th-12th grade students are invited to join us on Sunday, August 16^th, at 5:00 pm in the Fellowship Hall as we kick off a brand-new season of WAC! Whether you love music, instruments, drama, singing, or the creative arts, this is the perfect opportunity to reconnect, get inspired, and prepare for an exciting fall semester together. Students will have the chance to learn about upcoming productions, musical pieces, musical mentoring, and opportunities to grow in creativity while using the arts for God’s glory. From drama and musical theater to instrumental and vocal performance, there is a place for everyone to participate and belong. Come ready for fellowship, fun, vision casting, and a preview of all that is ahead this fall. We can’t wait to see returning students and welcome new faces as we begin another season of creativity, excellence, and worship through the arts!

Looking for a great way to wrap up the summer? Join us for a pool hangout at the Matullo home on Saturday, August 15, from 6–9 PM. Come relax by the pool, swim, connect with friends, and enjoy a fun evening together before the school year gets into full swing.
