40 Days Through The New Testament
The season of Lent —a 40-day period (excluding Sundays) of reflection, repentance, prayer, and spiritual renewal—mirrors Jesus' 40 days of fasting and temptation in the wilderness (Matthew 4:1-11). It prepares our hearts for the solemnity of Good Friday and the joy of Easter Sunday. One transformative way to observe Lent is by reading the New Testament daily to deepen one’s understanding.
To help with your reading journey, listen to a new podcast with Pastor Rusty that overviews each New Testament book. Beginning February 18th, hear clear, practical overviews of New Testament passages, illuminating the Scripture and connecting it to daily life and Christ's redemptive work—ideal companionship for Lent. Find the reading schedule and podcast on our website: libertybconline.org/40days
