Ready for winter to be over and spring to begin? Let’s celebrate the arrival of spring on March 21st from 6:00 pm - 8:00 pm in the Ministry Center with a Spring Fling Dinner Party. Arrive in a beautifully decorated room full of spring colors. Eat a delicious catered meal (spring salad, lemon rosemary chicken, asparagus, baby carrots, new potatoes, dinner roll, and a lemon bar or raspberry brownie for dessert) and enjoy fellowship around the tables. Finally, enjoy several photo opportunities, join in several crowd games, and enjoy a variety show by entertainer, Jonathan Austin, that will certainly entertain you! The Golden Girls are planning to attend the play Anne of Green Gables in Brookneal at 246 The Main Theatre on Sunday, March 23rd at 2:00 pm.  They will eat lunch in Brookneal prior to the play. The cost is $15.00, first-come, first-served. On Sunday, March 30th, we are challenging our Awana kids, leaders, and parents to recite as many verses as possible, to raise money for the Awana Africa Schools Project! This Verse-a-Thon will run from 4:00-8:00 pm - including during the Awana night. On Friday, April 4^th, all young adults (ages 18-30) are invited to participate in our third annual “Mystery Night” where YAM leaders walk the group through an evening of spiritual and personal reflection based on a theme that is kept a secret until it is presented at the event. The night will culminate with a hands-on craft to take home as a symbolic memento of the experience together. The event is free and includes dinner. Distinct music and media will allow those in attendance to ponder the implications of the Cross and thank the Lord for His incredible sacrifice.

Join us Easter Sunday, April 20th as our LBC Worship Choir and special instrumentation lead us in a glorious celebration of our resurrected Lord! Song, scripture, and the Word will come together in a way which encourages us to rejoice in Jesus’ victory over sin, death, and the grave without restraint.

There will be a Congregational Meeting on Sunday, April 27^th at 4:00 pm in the Sanctuary.  The Financial Report will be given, as well as reports from the Elders, Stewardship Committee, etc. This meeting is to inform the church about matters of church business, along with giving an opportunity to submit approval/disapproval cards on subjects that require congregational approval.

On Sunday, May 4^th, our Awana year will conclude with a celebration of the thousands of Scripture verses memorized by over 100 kids.
